Hurley Field Stadium Complex

Hurley Field is located behind Anderson Middle School at 3205 Catalpa (11 1/2 mile) between Greenfield and Coolidge roads and is one of the premier high school sport complexes in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Hurley Field Rules

To help maximize your enjoyment using our turf field and stadium complex, we ask all users to please adhere to the following general rules:

• Food is not allowed inside the track fence, especially on the turf field - this includes sunflower seeds and gum
• Only clear liquids can be brought onto the turf field - no colored drinks of any kind, including coffee and tea, allowed beyond the track fence
• No glass containers can be brought into the stadium complex
• Roller blades, skateboards and bikes are not allowed in the stadium complex
• Smoking is not allowed on school property - this also includes the Hurley Field parking lot
• Pets are not allowed in the stadium complex even if they are on a leash
• Only players, coaches and game officials are allowed inside the track fence and on the turf field during all games
• Only game officials are allowed in the press box when it is open
• Kids under 16 years old are not allowed in the press box or on top of press box during video taping
• Please dispose of all trash and use recycle bins as required
• Please clean up the locker rooms before you leave
• Because parking is limited, please follow all parking restrictions on neighborhood streets and be considerate of local homeowners
• Do not move the main soccer goals - only the secondary goals should be moved for practice sessions and please remember to move them back when session is over and replace the sandbags

Berkley High School has two gyms used for our athletic practices and events. The BHS West Gym can be accessed from the Catalpa entrance and the entrance near the athletics parking lot between Catalpa and Sunnyknoll.

The West Gym is the larger of the two, and is home to all events for:

• Boys and girls basketball
• Volleyball
• Wrestling
• Unified basketball

The East Gym is the original gym built in 1948 and serves our students well for practices and small performances. The East Gym is accessed through the BHS Main Entrance.

The Berkley High School Pool is located at 2325 Catalpa. Athletes and guests can enter from Catalpa at the door just south of the pool entrance sign.

Home Pool for High School & Middle School Swimming & Diving.

Community 1 located between Catalpa and Oxford roads. This field is owned and operated by the City of Berkley.

Home Field for High School & Middle School Baseball

Community 3 located between Catalpa and Oxford roads. This field is owned and operated by the City of Berkley.

Home Field for High School & Middle School Softball

Many of our teams practice at the Norup fields, especially during construction. Norup International School, a K-8 building, is located in Oak Park.

Norup fields are used by the following teams:

• Boys and girls rugby
• Middle School cross country
• Middle and high school football programs
• Middle School baseball and softball

Coming soon -- The BEAR Complex!

The BEAR Complex is located across the street from Berkley High School on Catalpa. It includes a 60-yard indoor fieldhouse with a new weight room, team room and trainer room, an outdoor 120-yard turf performance field with lights, parking lot expansion and new configuration and a grass field north of the turf field.

This facility is currently under construction and is anticipated to be opened in Fall 2026.
