Middle School Sports

Anderson Middle School and Norup International School are a member of the Central Oakland Middle School Athletic Conference (COMSAC). The schools compete individually as well as on combined teams. Our combined teams compete under the name Berkley Middle School.

Our schools compete with schools from the following districts: Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Farmington, West Bloomfield, Cranbrook, Country Day, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Novi, Royal Oak, and Oak Park.   

Here is a list of interscholastic sports teams that are available to student-athletes:

• Fall Season (September - Early November)
  • Boys Football (7th and 8th grade only - combined team)
  • Girls Volleyball (7th and 8th grade only)*
  • Girls Tennis (6th-8th grade - combined team)
  • Coed Cross Country (6th-8th grade - combined team)
• Winter I (Late November - Late January)
  • Boys Basketball (7th and 8th grade only)*
  • Girls Swimming (6th-8th grade - combined team).
• Winter II (Late January - Late March)
  • Girls Basketball (7th-8th grade)*
  • Wrestling (6th-8th grade, combined team)
  • Boys Swimming  (6th-8th grade combined team)
• Spring (Mid April - End of May)
  • Boys Tennis (6th-8th grade - combined team)
  • Coed Track and Field (6th-8th grade - combined team)
  • Girls Softball (7th-8th grade - combined team)*
  • Boys Baseball (7th-8th grade - combined team)*

* These sports are intended for 7th and 8th grade only, however if there are not enough 7th graders to field a team, spots will be opened up for 6th graders to try out.

Middle School Club Sports

• Golf (boys and girls, combined teams)
• Ski Club (6th - 8th grade, AMS, Norup and BHS)

Physicals & Resource Fees
